Research Assistant/Postdoctoral Researcher (TV-L E13, full-time, temporary) at the Chair of Geomorphology and Soil Science

TASKS:

Coordination, reporting, and publication of ongoing research projects (e.g. BMBF, EU);
Development of further research collaborations as well as preparation and development of applications for research funding, with the aim of soliciting funding for the own position; opportunity for further qualification (Habilitation);
Co-supervision of PhD students, M.Sc. - and B.Sc. candidates, also abroad;
Participation in teaching for personal qualification.

REQUIREMENTS:

PhD in geology, geomorphology, soil science or related disciplines;
Very good knowledge and skills in near-surface geophysical prospecting (GPR, ERT, SSR, etc.);
Good knowledge of sedimentological-pedological analyses (field and laboratory);
Profound knowledge in the field of (cultural) landscape genesis and (paleo-) ecosystem research;
Willingness to work in the field, at home and abroad;
Field experience in (sub) tropical arid environments (e.g. Southern Africa) is desirable;
Excellent English skills, excellent German skills, communication skills and willingness to work in a team;
Driving license class B.
