The following position is available at the Professorship of Ecological

A13Z) for 6 years to conduct research on land use change and its impact
on ecosystem services. We are looking for a candidate to develop spatial
models of land use and ecosystem services in regional human-environment
systems. This research should also consider global trade flows and subsequent
leakage of regional ecosystem service improvements. The position starting earliest
January 1, 2014 is initially offered for 3 years and after successful
evaluation for another 3 years. It opens the opportunity to develop an own
research and teaching profile (including habilitation) while working in a
team. Strong publication record as well as methodological knowledge in
land use/ecosystem models, GIS and/or geostatistics in R is expected. Since
work will be interdisciplinary, candidates holding a doctoral degree in
environmental, natural, social sciences and economics are invited to apply.
Teaching load is five hours teaching per week in the M.Sc. Global Change
Ecology. Handicapped persons will be given preference in cases with equal
