Call for applications

The Global Changemakers programme will bring 60 community activists, social entrepreneurs and volunteers from the two regions – Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe – to the summit.

The summit will take place in June 2012 in Brussels; the exact dates are still to be confirmed.

The Global Changemakers are inviting active youth in the age between 18 and 24 to apply for participation. The 60 participants must be new Changemakers who haven’t taken part in previous summits. However, as with all recent summits 10 existing Global Changemakers (aged 18-25 on the first day of the summit) to the Euro-Africa Youth Summit will attend as peer facilitators.

The British Council will cover all the costs (i.e. travel, visa, accommodation, meals, and training costs) for the selected participants. Resident of a European country or one of the Sub Saharan Africa countries listed here:

The call for applications for changemakers and peers will go live on the above mentioned page on 30 January; the period to apply is from 30 January till 17 February
