Assistant Professor: Extension Soil Water Quality Scientist
Oregon State University, Department of Crop and Soil Science, is seeking applicants for a 9-month, full time (1.0 FTE) tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in Extension Soil Water Quality Science. The incumbent is expected to develop a nationally recognized extension and applied research program to assist agricultural producers in sustaining or enhancing crop productivity while maintaining or increasing surface and groundwater quality associated with surface and soil processes, leading to an extension water quality program that meets clientele needs and advances water quality management technologies across the agricultural landscape. This position supports the department and university mission to develop and disseminate research-based information to practitioners and policy makers. PhD is required by start of employment in soil or water science or closely related field with disciplinary expertise in soil water quality associated with agricultural systems, with demonstrated teaching skills and a demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
